SMCS organized a session on cyber security, challenges, and career prospects

November 10, 2022: School of Mathematics and Computer Science (SMCS), IBA in collaboration with the Google Developer Student's Club and CS Society, organized a session on ‘Cyber Security Overview/Challenges & How to Enter into the Cyber Security as a career’ by Muhammad Arif Azad, Chief Consultant - Citi Bank NY, USA. Attendees included undergraduate and graduate students from IBA, Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, University of Karachi, Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology, NEDUET and FAST.

Mr. Azad presented an overview of cyber security, types of security threats/attacks, hackers and hacking tools, and how a cybersecurity model can be implemented in an organization and shed light on career opportunities in cybersecurity. The session concluded with a quiz competition and the top five winners were presented with souvenirs.
