IBA-SMCS Karachi Delegation Meets 10Pearls Pakistan Leadership to Explore AI's Evolving Impact on the Tech Industry

As part of IBA's continued efforts to strengthen industry-academia collaboration, a delegation of faculty members Dr. Sajjad Haider, Dr. Syed Ali Raza, Dr. Ahmed Akhtar & Dr. Rizwan Ahmed Khan from the School of Mathematics & Computer Science (SMCS) visited 10Pearls Pakistan where the delegation met Mr. Imran Daudi Vice President, Software Service, Mr. Ansar Muhammad, Vice President, Engineering & Aziz Shaikh, Vice President, Operations & Software Service.

The discussion focused on how SMCS can better prepare students for an increasingly AI-driven industry landscape, with emphasis on strong fundamentals, creativity, problem-solving, and domain understanding as key attributes for future graduates.

The attendees also discussed opportunities for faculty-industry collaboration in research and development, along with the need for greater AI adaptability within education to ensure students remain prepared for the changing demands of the technology industry.
