IEEEIBA - GIT workshop

The Git Workshop organized by the IEEEIBA Student Branch was held on 10th October 2018 and was conducted by Omer Farooq Ahmed. Around 50 students primarily sophomores and juniors attended the workshop.

This workshop lasted approximately 90 minutes and was a hands-on primer to the basics of version control using Git and remote repository management using Github.

It introduced the concept of version control and repository management and then showed students how to perform basic git operations such as commits, push, pull etc as well as how to manage source code between multiple contributors in a team.

The aim of the crash course is to encourage the audience to use git in their software group projects in order to significantly improve their software development and to be literate enough in the technology to answer relevant questions in internship and job interviews.

The entire workshop was screen-casted and is available here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL5FADTcCHDrc58YK8SAbKgziY2h8NwueZ
