The flagship event of IBA Computer Science Society, PROBATTLE, took place from 1st March till 3rd March 2019, at IBA Main Campus, Karachi. The event consisted of twenty-two competitions, which revolved around different visions of Computer Sciences. Some of the trending and interesting competitions added this year were Data Analytics, PUBG Mobile, Logic Hunt, Docker Challenge, and Code in the Dark. Just like the previous versions of IBA PROBATTLE, this year’s edition was also successful, and attracted students from different universities. A total of 800+ registrations were recorded, making it one of the successful events of IBA.

The event kicked off with an opening ceremony, which took place at G & T Auditorium. The ceremony consisted of Keynote sessions by famous personnel of the Corporate World. One of the leading names in the Banking industry, Allied Bank Limited, was actively involved in the event. The Company’s representatives conducted their campaign, in which they promoted their banking facilities for the youth, and targeted PROBATTLE participants.

Apart from the competitions, a social event was also organized on the second day of the major event. A Qawwali night was organized, in which the famous Sabri brothers took the hold of the crowd with their melodious voices.

Major highlight of the event includes, the attempt for setting up the world record for the longest line followed by the a Human-made Robot in the event "Follow the Line". STAMERS collaborated as the Event Partner.

Computer Science students of IBA also actively participated in event, and some of them made it to the list of winners. Team TSS, which consisted of Final year students, Saad Mughal, Sobia Aleem, and Tabish Muzaffar, won the Database Design competition. While Junior year students, namely Syed Muhammad Maaz Tariq, and Syed Muhammad Sualeh Ali were declared as runner ups. Not only in DB design but even in Data Analytics, the FCS students made their way out as winners. Senior year students, Anum, and Laiqa, won the Data Analytics competition.

The three day event concluded with a closing ceremony. The winners were given prices for their exceptional performance, and the guest speakers were handed tokens of appreciation. Just like all of the previous years, UBIT students, once again succeeded in achieving victory in most of the competitions.
